The music we listen DOES influence our mood, that is why very important to recognize whether the music we listen makes us happy, sad, moody etc.

We can create our own happiness and music can be part of that happiness, so I recommend everyone look around in your Spotify, Youtube, radio stations etc. or any other music app you listen to check your chosen genre and what your library hide.

How music influence our mood?

As I told music can have a powerful influence on our mood and emotions.

The tempo, rhythm, melody, lyrics, and even the memories associated with certain songs can all contribute to how we feel when we listen to music.

Here are a some examples:

Tempo

Music with a fast tempo and upbeat rhythm can make us feel energized, motivated, and happy. Think of pop or dance music that makes you want to dance or move your body.

BPM stands for “beats per minute” and is a measure of the tempo or speed of a piece of music. Generally speaking,

  • a higher BPM indicates a faster tempo, while
  • a lower BPM indicates a slower tempo.

However, what is considered fast or slow can depend on the genre of music too. For example, a BPM of 120 might be considered fast for a ballad or slow for a dance track.

Here are some general guidelines for different genres:
